Sorry if this has been posted somewhere already...I did search both on this site and google.

Is there a website that has listings of LA-area live hold'em tournaments? Or does anyone know of some good ones? I don't want too high a buy-in, but will be happy to hear any information.

Edit - Looking specifically for weekend tourneys.

The two bigger tournaments coming up are at Hustler from like July 15-30th and Legends of Poker at Bike starting late July. I find the rebuys in the Hustler tournaments to be quite onerous. I'll note that on the first Saturday of Legends, there is a $300 buy in NL tournament at Bike with no rebuys. If that is too much money, they will have $40 buy in ten handed sattellites where you can win an entry. $150,000 guaranteed prize pool too.

The structures of the small tournaments have changed around Los Angeles and with rebuys, I wind up going in $100-150 on $20 buy in tournaments.

I very highly recommend that you wait for the first few events of major tournament series like the ones I mentioned above. You get more play, and likely more money if you do well. If buy ins are too expensive, play a sattellite or two and if you win enter, if not, go home or play at a regular game.
