Default Watching the NBA finals...

I was watching the NBA finals tonight and it suddenly struck me how much Tim Duncan reminds me of Kevin McHale. Could McHale have been as dominant as Duncan if not for having Bird on his team?

I think that's a pretty good comparison, Duncan just does everything a little bit better than McHale did. He's more athletic, a better defender, has more range shooting, and rebounds better. If McHale was playing now they'd probably call him a poor man's Duncan.

You are right though, if McHale had been 'the man' on his team, he would have put up some great numbers.

I heard in the commentary that Tim has studied videos of Kevin McHale to aid his own game.

Watching a 7 footer dribble the ball down court and make some great assists is a joy to watch - reminds me of myself, on a much smaller scale of course
