Wow banned for this? It's not that bad. I say most of the stories are true, why go out of your way to make up a fake story on the internet. But most are full of crap, I submit the IQ poll a long time ago as evidence.

i think many are truthful, but not 100% truthful. i would say a majority of posters stretch the truth in one way or another.

If you want to hear fake stories, go to the [cardgame] forums and read all the people bragging about how they're doing. You'll routinely see new posters bragging that they do at least as well as the best players on these boards, and sometimes multiple times over, and sustainably, too.
On OOT fakeness, there's fake stuff anywhere. With guys, it's usually bragging about sex or money. I take those with a grain of salt, especially guys bragging how hot their girlfriends are. I've seen too many guys doing that IRL to not be aware of how likely it is to be phoney in a forum. Some guys just have a weird desperate desire to let everyone know they're dating a supermodel, even if nobody cares. |
