Re: Math answer
Thanks Matt.
So then lets say a reasonable range of hands that I put him on is something like AQ, JQ, KQ, 77, JJ, and QQ. Given the board there are 12 combos of AQ, 9 each of JQ and KQ, and 3 each of 77, JJ, and QQ (is that right?). (I know this is a very narrow range, but is just for an example). So I think he'll lay down AQ and JQ, and call the rest if I go allin. So he folds 21 out of 39 combinations or ~53% of the time. (In actuality this is probably higher right since his range is larger?) Since I only need him to fold 32% of the time, this play appears +EV. |

Re: Big Draw On Turn, Party NL 1k
p.s. Although i didnt think you coined the term folding equity, I think you may have just coined the terms rush equity and aggression equity.

You mean your mathematical thinking/analyzation doesn't seem to be well respected. [/ QUOTE ] You win. [ QUOTE ] And it's analysis buddy. Analysis. [/ QUOTE ] Grammar foul. Nice catch. |

I pushed the turn. Villain insta-called with a set of J's, and I didn't improve on the river.
Thanks for the comments guys. |

No disrespect, but mathematical thinking/analyzation does not seem to be well-respected in this forum. [/ QUOTE ] What a moronic statement. Nobody is showing a lack of respect for mathematical thinking when responding to you. They are showing a lack of respect for people who make a fool of themselves by incorrectly trying to apply mathematical principles that have nothing to do with the issue at hand. |

Re: Math answer
i would estimate the likelihood of opponent folding at considerably less than half, making this a tough play.

Re: Big Draw On Turn, Party NL 1k
Having a rough monday morning...er afternoon, could you (or anyone) please define "Rush Equity" and "Agression Equity". Raw definition would be nice, but also more of how it applies to other forms of equity.
Thanks. |
