Preflop I would have done the same thing. On the flop, I would call the 100, you have the pots odds and backdoor flush potential.

I don't like the pre-flop call. I'd rather raise or *gasp* fold.

On the flop you're probably beat -- or someone's on a much better draw than you -- so once again, either fold or raise.

I would have called pre-flop, though I wouldn't have much problem with a line suggesting a re-raise and then a continuation bet if checked to you on the flop given Stars deeper starting stacks.

Assuming a call pre-flop, I fold this flop without hesitation.

Gasp indeed. I don't think you can reasonably fold this pre-flop. Raising is definitely an option, as i mention below, and it does give you more post flop options.

If you just called before the flop, I don't think raising is such a hot idea on the flop...

Suggesting a "*gasp* fold" is my way of abstractly quantifying my dislike for the call .

I could whine a justification for folding if I had to... I mean, a raise AND a cold-call makes my AKo feel a tad less manly...

This is solid advice.

If it's any consolation, coming from a known weak-tight player, I would never fold this hand preflop here. This is still a one table tournament isn't it? We're still shooting fish in a barrel aren't we? You've got great position here don't you?

I like the preflop call with AK as I don't want to commit too many chips on a drawing hand this early. Raise is okay, but early on in the $22s, if you miss its gonna be tough to get someone to lay down an okay hand after they commited a good amount of chips. I've seen people go to call all-ins with mid pockets after an overcard flop.

I say call PF, after the flop, if you miss, fold to any significant bet, reraise and suspiciously small bet (i.e. <40% of the pot), but fold to a reraise...probe bet if checked to you.

I say no. I almost always fold AK early to a raise.
