Default decent turn raise

My first short-handed post. Hello all.
Hero is BB with 76o, SB and Mp are both fairly tight aggressives.

Mp calls, sb calls and BB checks.

Flop: K,8, 7 rainbow. checked around

turn: 5. SB bets, hero raises...

I'm pretty new to shorthanded, should I have bet the flop here? Is the turn raise ok?

What limit is this?
You can bet the flop but checking is not bad as well
I like the turn raise

I think this is an autobet on the flop 3 handed to a flop.

I definitely raise the turn. Villain could have a pair of fives or a lower pocket pair, and might even be encouraged to fold a pair of eights. He could also be (correctly) taking a stab at this pot with nothing. You have a pair and a strong draw, but taking this down before showdown would be sweet. Raising also lets you shut out the third player, who again could fold a better hand less than kings or a draw. (Straight draws cannot call a turn raise profitably.)

Yeah, raise that turn.

But if we bet the flop, what is our action thereafter?

It depends on the other players' action, but the following advice will unlock a lot of secrets for beginning shorthanded players:

When in doubt, keep firing.

If you knock out MP on the turn, don't improve on the river and SB checks the river, I'll usually check thru, figuring to be good a little less than half the time.
