Question for Shirley. I just started reading Annie Duke's book. I got it at that place where they rent books, forget the name of it, anyway. If you win a big tourney and get world famous are you going to write a book?

lol - I've never heard of this. Sounds like an interesting idea. How much is it to rent and what kind of selection do they have.

Harrah's took a great idea and basically fouled it up beyond belief. Harrah's basically took back their $2m, replaced it with Pepsi's $2m, and added players who didn't qualify in the first place.

What's hurting WSOP Circuit attendance this year is that there won't be televised coverage of the first 3 (and probably most) Circuit events (Tunica, Harrah's LV, Caesar's Indiana).

Q 7 may be the resulting "median" hand from a bogus simulation, or that may simply be a BS poker-myth. Q 7 could be called the computer hand as a joke by old school players about crazy-aggressive, Gus H wannabe online poker freaks. Of course that attitude has changed as the freaks now dominate the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Q7 offsuit was the hand that was closest to winning 50% of the time against a random heads up hand on an old computer simulation written by (I think) a guy named Dave Barry (he published results, including a pretty good book on Omaha, in 8.5 by 11 format available at Gambler's Book Store in Las Vegas). Funny thing is, using modern simulators it seems other hands come closer to 50% so he may have had an inferior shuffling algorithm.

Maybe others can elaborate
