Default Grunch?

I keep seeing this, and have no idea what it means. What does it mean? Where did it come from? Why is everyone using it all of a sudden?

it means to post blind, or to post your reply to the original post without looking at any other replies.

What was wrong with the term "posting blind"?

It's from microlimits, grunchcan made a big post about how everyone would improve faster if they replied to hand histories without reading everyone else's advice first.

That's a shame. I don't think that's true. Depending on the # of people who have already posted, I try to post the majority of mine blind, but I don't say grunch first, 'cause that's toolish.

I said *most*.

When I read a post, with excellent content & close decisions, and see grunch 10+ times at least 20+ posts in, where the grunchers are giving the supposed "agreed upon" line, I cry foul. I do this because I read the subsequent posts from these grunchers who ask for advice in situations which are totally easier & not close.

Anyway, perhaps I'm jaded because my posts are usually ignored.

FYI the origin is from some guy named grunch or grunchy that created a really good post once that recommended doing it, and I think it was actually in the micros.
