Why are you raising this flop? You have 3 outs if you're lucky. Fold.

It doesn't seem like you have much going for you on the flop except a couple of overcards. I would fold the flop.

I guess you're both right. I figured I had 6 outs as any queen or jack would give me top pair? So I raised to get a free card on the turn, not expecting it to get re-raised.

Don't count overcards as full outs. SB could just as easily have J8s and be betting TP. Reverse domination sucks.

You can't count overcard outs as full outs, because you'll often hit and still be behind.

Analysis in white below:
Fold preflop, you lost the hand.

In the future, please do not include results in hand history posts. Even though we are a virtuous bunch here, we cannot always resist the urge to check the results of the hand before providing our analysis. Knowledge of the result may bias our analysis to an overly aggressive line (if you won the hand) or an overly weak one (if you lost). Therefore, to get the best information, please refrain from including the results in the initial post.

If you are interested in comments on an entire hand that you played, post all of the action but leave the results out. If you are interested in a particular action that you took, include all the action up to that point (excluding the specific action you're interested in) and ask "What should I do here?"

Be sure to include any reads you have on your opponents in a hand post, as well as a general read on the table if you have one. Of course, feel free to include the results in a later post after you have received some responses on your play.

Thanks,
NoResults

Personally, I hate J Q off. On the button however, with all those callers, i understand the pf call. Now, with that flop and all those players, even if you hit on the turn you're probably still behind. Unless you have reads on all of them that say they will call with middle pair all day long, you should probably fold.
