Default Ugh....KQs flops trips and I play it like a girlie man

New to the table and just starting my second orbit. I've got maybe 10 hands on the villain at this point, and no real read other than "loose" (he's played about 60% of those hands).

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, MP3 calls, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, BB calls.

Flop: (6.33 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP3 calls, BB folds.

Turn: (4.16 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 caps</font>, Hero calls.

River: (12.16 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, intending to call a bet...?

I think this line is standard and not "girly" . Against loose players you have way the best hand here often enough to justify calling one more on the end. There are too many hands he can cap on the turn and bet the river that we beat.

What I was worried about as soon as I hit "check" was that with the backdoor flush coming in, he might check through with a weaker king or A9 or whatever else he could've capped the turn with....hands he'd gladly call a bet with.

I think hero bets, intending to call a raise.

Check/calling the river is fine. The problem with bet/calling is that KJ usually calls and K9 raises. Since you are often times in a win one-lose two type spot, so it is usually correct to bet only when you are intending to 3-bet. Since he will bet all his hands when you check, you are in a win one-lose one and that makes more sense then bet/calling.

Brad

Edit: If you are worried about A9 -- you shouldn't be. If he is capping the turn with it, he is certainly going to bet the river.

LOL!

For those who weren't there, I did type that into the table chat after the hand. Villain had Kd3d, and MHIG.
