Default Hold\'em or Fold\'em?

Party 2-Table multi S&G. $50+5. this is the very first hand of the tourney.

I am in MP w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 limpers to me, and i limp as well, as does 1 other behind me. SB completes and BB checks.

Flop(5 players, T75 pot):

A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

SB bets out T30. 2 early limpers fold. i smooth call. i wanted the button, who limped preflop to call with either a straight draw or maybe pop it for a raise with a decent Ace. many limp early in these tourneys w/ rag Aces. i planned on taking this pot down on the turn, while folding if another broadway comes and someone shows great strength.

anyway, button raises to T180 if i'm not mistaken. SB then instantly pushes all-in. Your action? is this a close decision?

cheers!

this a tough one...either you're way ahead or way behind!

First hand, I'm probably going to call...if someone flopped a set, so be it...you've still got outs!

With a rainbow flop, why is the guy pushing if he's got a set? I'm guessing the SB has A2 and wants to take it down right now.

Yes, it's a close decision. I would put him on A5 or AK/AQ and would have called, it just doesn't seem like a set.

This is tough and I think I would've called because I can't lay down top 2 pair. That said, SB probably has a set. I find that the really small bet usually means a draw, but with no real draws out, it usually means a monster. I don't see the SB doing this with an inside straight draw, so I think he probably has 55. Hope it worked out for you.
