Interesting, I think you might actually be behind us by a few seconds, thanks.

Market is moving before things happen by a big margin now. Previous events have been live and with much better information about stacks and stuff too, this is poor.

Thanks all

Lori

Juanda went all in with KQo everyone folds. That was about a minute ago, I'm sure Europe may get it ahead of the US slightly because of the satellite transmission and things like that.

Yes, definitely not much in it.

Someone has me by around six minutes here, which clearly isn't even worth betting on between hands, let alone on the flop.

What a waste of a live event These things are usually the nuts for betting on.

They must be at the venue to have a 6 minute head start (assuming they're getting live updates).

I'm sure they'll end it on time, only if they really speed up the game. An easy way to do that would be to eliminate commercials every 10 minutes to get more hands in, I think they were at 52 hands 3 hours into the show. Maybe being in Monte Carlo causes some sort of problems in not being able to provide information in a timely manner.

I have proof that the updates are live (I was told one flop 6 minutes ahead of time). I don't understand what the delay is for, this is the first time they have ever had more than a few second delay (in a live event on UK TV at least)

The person is not physically present in Monte Carlo, so I'm guessing radio.

Obviously if we can work out where ready for next time, there is rather a lot of money to be had

Incredibly I may break even on this whole fiasco, which would amuse me greatly

There's usually a delay on live poker tournaments in the US to prevent the situation you're talking about.

This is like watching a mid-level party poker sit 'n go. And about as entertaining.

[ QUOTE ]
I love how they can show the cards as soon as they're dealt. I wonder how they implanted the microchips in the cards.

It seems like a pretty good show so far. I'm not sure how the general viewing public would like it, but it seems pretty good for the hardcore crowd.
