Default Nuts on River - How much do you bet?

Game $1-2 NL on Full Tilt Poker 6-MAX
Hero $300 K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in c/o
Villain $250 on button

Preflop - folded to hero, hero raises to $7, button calls, both blinds fold. Pot $17.

Flop A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets $17, villain calls. Pot $51

Turn 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets $25, villain calls. Pot $100

River: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
How much do you bet? 1/2 pot, 3/4 to pot, or overbet?

Feel free to comment on any street, but I am most interested in the river play.

This is one situation where I think an overbet is almost always a good play. Mainly because your opponent cannot call any bet without a hand (in this case a heart).

If you are really lucky he has the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and will raise. Now that I look at stacks, villain only has about 200 left, so I would probably bet that. The least I would bet is the pot (100).

i'd bet a little more on the turn, but that's not a big deal.

on the river, reads are important. has he been slowplaying a flush? has he paid off river bets before? has he folded rivers before? the answer to your question is "whatever he'll call", but if you don't think he'll call even a small bet, then checking to induc a bluff would be the best play.

I hadn't played long enough with him to have a good read, but the checking option is interesting, and it did cross my mind. The reason I didn't check is I thought he might check behind if he had a marginal hand that might win a showdown. With that being said, if he didn't have a heart, maybe he would make a bluff a the decent sized pot. Definately one for the toolbox.
