You raise and go from there, depending on the river a free showdown may be in order.

Pretty easy raise in my opinion. 40/10/1.5 could have lots and lots of hands you beat and few you don't. The donkdonk seems so popular when they have a crappy pair since they seem to think you're always raising for a free card.

raise preflop. you have too much of a hand to let a 40/10 get away with limping early and it's folded to you. given c/o is a fish makes it even better not worse. let him come along with any two, your hand is an equity hog against him and 40's junk starters.

that said, you played it fine and need to raise the turn.

I'm betting most rivers but I not a 7, or maybe not an Ace, however we have to raise first and see what happens. I think we are looking at 76 here, maybe A5, A7 often enough to make those river cards crappy.

i like a raise preflop here. gives you a few scary flop cards to root for, basically any paint... let's you "take control of the hand" yaddy yadda

as you played it, is there any reason to not raise turn? maybe the better player he is, the less likely you should want to raise, becuase the chances go up that he is trying to bet/3 bet you, but if you have little respect for the bettor, i'd raise every time
