Doyle Brunson, on page 107 of Super System 2 makes this statement:

It would depend on exactly what it means.

"With more hands, your results tend to even out." I would agree with this.

All other things being equal, true.

A lot less likely to run bad for 3 months online.

Swings may be bigger though, since play is so much more passive live. But you will still get through them much quicker, if you measure in days.

If the meaning of the statement is

With more hands(/timeunit), your results will even out more quickly.

Results will even out more quickly regarding time.
(Results will not even out more quickly regarding played hands.)
