Default August Bonanza prop bet

No one replied on my post in the main thread so...

Me and a friend made a $ prop bet that he could NOT get into the top 20 on Thursday playing ONLY limit .50/1 6-max. He has no odds on the bet.

Whose got the sucker end here?

He does by far. I'd say he would have a good bet if you gave him 5-1 odds (and that is pushing it)

Dayum I'd say you got the easy end of that one. Did he even argue for odds on it? Maybe he knows something I dont, but I think you're in good stead.

He didn't ask for odds. In fact, he was the one who suggested the bet. It's just a friendly $50 wager.

If he doesn't make it tomorrow.. offer him double or nothing for the next day for the rest of the week?

If he plays all day I still bet he has a chance...although wow...what a boring day.

I have a marginal effect on the bets outcome- i.e. if I play or not that'll be one less spot for him.

except, the thought of another 9 hr day makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

can anyone who just made the cutoff tell me how many hrs and at what limit you played? 4 tabling and 6max is assumed.

[/ QUOTE ]I finished 20th. The only time I took off was about 10 minutes when my computer crashed. I started out playing 3/6 6 max, but I switched to 1/2 6 max and I seemed to move up in the rankings faster that way. 4-tabling of course. I hadn't slept in a couple days and timed out by falling asleep a couple times- so I'd say your friend has a chance, but not a good one. I know for a fact there were a few people within a few raked hands of me at the end because I was moving around from 17th to 22nd during the last couple hours.

I know the 4th and 5th place finishers play 1/2 if that information is of any value.

I'd put his odds at 10-1.
