poker is a life long game?
currently im a loosing player....ive been playing for 3 years ...ive read every book backwards! i have an A game ,a B game, and a Z game. in 3 years i lost exactly 5307 and a carwash. keep in mind ive also come 9 spaces away from being a winning player. ive been sooooo close......does anyone think i should stick to one game meaning ,should i just focus on nl tournaments , cash games , sngs, or try to start my own uno ring? Re: poker is a life long game?
um, maybe you should just find another game. Or master one type first, each one is different in its own aspects.

ive read every book backwards! [/ QUOTE ] If you read them forwards they tend to be more comprehensible. [/ QUOTE ] I take it from this comment that you've spent a significant amount of your time playing large-field multi-table tournaments. I think this is a terrible area to focus on if you want reassurance about whether your game is improving. You could be a great player and still go for an awfully long time without hitting serious money in large tournaments. If I were you I would focus on small buy-in NL ring games (like the micro-limit games on Stars) until you were beating them significantly over about 25,000 hands. Then think about where to go next. |
