Default BANKROLL on the edge, move down ?

im in a downswing, im a student, and i HATE refreshing my bankroll. currently, i can play:

19 more games at my current level (10's)
33 at the lower level (5's)
9 more games at the higher level (sounds a bit tilty) (20's)

i will fill my pants if someone says 5's

Well, I highly suggest you play $5.50s, not $6s. If you're at Party, cashout and move over to Stars, UB, etc.

Don't play 5s.

Play until you have only 50-70 left (play at the 10s). If you hit this mark transfer your money to a site where you can play 5cent/10cent NL, and rebuild.

Assuming you're on Party, and moving to the $5s would mean paying $1 rake, reload and play $11s. If you're paying $.50 rake on $5s move down now and don't bother reloading.

Move your $$ to Stars...play their $5.50...the good news is that if you're a winning player your ROI and ITM should be higher in the longer format STTs there which will help you even more on building your bankroll.

Oh, and there is the nice bonus that you may learn a bit of actual poker due to slower blinds or whatnot.

Oh, btw, I hate you and hope you die a horrible, painful death.

Allah Akbar.

From another post:

"Naw, it's cool. I just told 4 random posters to die for no real reason, so it's not like my karma meter is on full....although I forgot to add the horrible painful death part, but oh well."

Yugo is having fun with you.

That said, I think you should continue to play the 10s, and stop trying to make fancy plays against the uberdonks.

You should do fine playing straight value poker. Bet your good hands, fold your shitty ones, and push and pray on the bubble.

You have NINETEEN buyins still at the 11s? Man thats plenty, i wouldnt move down yet. Sure you hear about downswings greater than that, but thats the "worst case" from hundreds upon hundreds of games. The chance of you dropping that starting NOW is still pretty longshot.

I'd suggest, if you're a bit rattled now, would be to take like 3 days (or even a week) off, with ZERO poker, then come back and play the 11s again.

Just 1-table them (if you werent already)...i really doubt you'll drop all 19 right off the bat.

Medicine for bad-funk run ...its only my *opinions*, and what seems to work best for me, but give it a shot ( you may want to disregard the part about moving *up* a level, that'd be only 9 BI @ 22s, i was thinking more of me/someone else who has been in a funk but still has plenty roll to play with.

Good Luck anyways, seriously consider the several days off, i really find i play alot better after taking a little break. You think a little different i guess...like you see the game more for what it is, not just staring at screen hoping to be dealt good cards.

Heh, whatever
