Hand for Review
Firstly I've recently just bought Small Stakes Hold'em and was following the preflop recommendations for tight games at $1/$2 at Party Poker.
The table was 9 handed and I got dealt [ 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ] three players to the left of the big blind. First thing Im not sure about is whether I am supposed to regard my position as Early or Mid. I went with Mid position as the table was 9 handed rather than a full 10. It got folded to me so according to SSHE I called. c/o calls. Button folds. SB calls. BB checks. Flop 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] The blinds check .. I check .. c/o checks. Turn T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Both blinds check again. Im thinking that c/o would of bet a T on the flop when it was checked to him if he had one. I bet out .. confident I've got the best hand. c/o calls as does the BB. River 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Didn't think this changed much so I bet out again on the river. c/o calls and turns over 99 bb folded. Did I make a mistake at all playing it this way? |

You'll get more responses if you post this in the micro-limits forum.
As to the actual hand, looks fine to me, however there are a lot of players out there like CO who are too passive to raise or fold - he was scared of the two overcards like you were, but he's damned if he's folding. Look at it this way, he'd do the same with 77. |
