Default Any \"trout\" zone in Vegas ?

I'm in Vegas for the week and was just wondering where the trouts were usually hanging around here. I'm staying at the Monte Carlo and the poker room is kinda sad lol.
Bellagio isn't bad, haven't had time to check out Wynn's yet.

Cheers

For low limit HE close to the Monte Carlo, try MGM or Excalibur. The MGM 3/6 had some of the worst players I've ever seen. The Excalibur 2/6 spread limit had plenty of lousy players, but some reasonable players were sprinkled in the mix.

Ditto on MGM. Lots of kids there who don't really seem to know how to play. I also found the $4/8 game to be really fishy with older adults not really knowing much about the game.
The Bellagio's $4/8, being the poker room's lowest limit for HE, also is pretty fishy. Add Aladdin's $3/6 and downtown, Binion's (the former Horseshoe)... The Wynn's $4/8 also seems fishy and is a pretty nice place to play.

There's this place in Vegas called "The Strip". Anyway, all the trout are there. Good luck finding the place. I think its hidden off somewhere like a speakeasy.

My favorite quote from MGM 3/6...guy after losing 2 racks says seriously "I lost the minimum possible with my cards"

I like staying at Monte Carlo for the location and the poker rate. You are correct, the games are not fantastic, but they are very beatable. The games during the day are full of the same people, and some of them are decent but by no means are they great, and the rest are awful. After a day of playing you should figure out who's who, then you should be able to do fairly well. When I was there the regulars played during the day - different crowd at night, lots of guys wanting to either try the game or say to their buddies at home they played HE in Vegas. I enjoyed playing the kill hands really agressively, regulars often tended to balk at the price....

If you have the stomach for good LL games, take the tram to Bellagio at night and play in the $4-8 - its wild and crazy and can be very profitable. Like others have mentioned the MGM is good, but I haven't found it to a fish tank.

Enjoy. Wish I was there.

I thought that was the case at first, but thought there was no way you really meant that.

In that case, it is where other trout are not.
