Default AQ - Multiway pot

I suspect I was too weak on the turn. Does anyone prefer a strong lead or c/r? Results to follow.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) converter

UTG+1 ($41.25)
MP1 ($24.75)
MP2 ($25.90)
MP3 ($21.35)
CO ($12.75)
Button ($24.15)
Hero ($33.99)
BB ($24.15)
UTG ($22.06)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, MP3 calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, BB calls $2, UTG folds, MP3 calls $2, CO folds, Button calls $2.

Turn: ($9.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $2</font>, MP3 calls $2, Button calls $2, Hero calls $2.

River: ($17.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>

I probably would make another strong lead on the turn - then take it from there. I dont like the fact that so many people are calling, they cant all be on draws...

I think a check-call on the river is reasonable, because the flush draw missed.

I would have potted the turn...you've gotta brush off some of these sand fleas. It's likely that one or two have a worse ace, the others have some sort of draw.

I hate these hands.

Recently with some success due to the advice of another poster, I've been check-calling flops like this and leading the turn. Helps you find out where you're at a little better.

Default Results / the Damage

Villain was in fact both, holding a weak ace w/ an inside straight draw.

He's probably not going anywhere on the turn, even if I bet strong or (esp) check-raise. But I ceded control of the hand way too early.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB :#A500AF(BB)/ (9 handed) converter

UTG+1 :#A500AF(Villain)/ ($41.25)

Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $4</font>, MP3 folds, Button folds, Hero calls $4.

Final Pot: $25.50

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
Hero has Qd As (one pair, aces).
BB has Ah 4c (straight, five high).
Outcome: BB wins $25.50. </font>

I favor a check raise on the flop. You definitely have concealed the strength of your hand by just calling from the SB. I think that's one major benefit of just calling or checking from the blinds with a hand like this. Because it is likely that someone limped with Ax suited and will probably bet the flop, I would definitely check raise the flop, and then lead the turn. If Villain calls both, I check/call river. I think you will make money off of ATo A8s and other hands like that.
