Default kk vs unknown

As I said, I know nothing about this opponent, just sat down for two orbits. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Ultimate Bet 0.50/1 Hold'em (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP :#A500AF(Villain)/ raises</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP :#A500AF(Villain)/ caps</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Villain raises</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Villain bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Villain 3-bets</font>, Hero...

I don't know if I want to cap this turn against an unknown, but with the preflop cap, I think I am only behind to aces and ahead of most other hands.

He didn't get scared by a 3bet preflop or a cr on the turn. I think I'll call it here. On the river, I'd check-call a non K. Bet-3bet with a King. I might bet-fold with an Ace on the river.

Why are you check raising the turn? After he three bets you on the turn you are almost assuredly behind, but getting like 9-1 I call this down.

checkraising the turn is fine here. I use that line almost half the time when I flop and overpair w/KK or AA. The rest of the time I 3 bet the flop.

W/an 8 high board, I call the 3 bet and call the river. I've seen people go off w/JJ or QQ on boards like this. I don't like capping the turn b/c you almost certainly have to bet the river and call a raise. I'd rather get to showdown cheap

Even though this is a SH hand, you will probably get more relevant discussion in the micro forum. Very few of the players in this forum play .5/1, and their advice would be speaking from the perspective of much higher limits, which is really not the same game at all. With that said, I call down.
