Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to t75</font>, Hero calls t75, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>.

Flop: (t195) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
MP1 checks, Hero checks.

This has been my default play with AKo early on. Should i have been more aggressive at any point?

Except for most of my posts being silly jokes, I'd be like a broken record.

My advice is to bet the flop.

If another club falls you'll be stuck with the nuts and no action. Or, you might just take the pot right there, which would be fine. If he checkraises, you've got 2 overs, runner runner nut straight and nut flush, so push.

I agree to bet the flop.

I don't think a flop bet will take down the pot, but it will slow down the villain. At that point, if you don't hit 4th street you might get a free card. And then if you hit on the river, great - you may even be bet into. If it's another blank and you're bet into, it's an easy fold.

In addition to betting the flop, would this not be a time to re-raise preflop?

Looking at this hand, a pre-flop re-raise and a bet on the flop may very well win this hand.
