Default Will Party Pay if the Jackpot is Hit by a 2+2 Table?

From the terms and conditions;

[ QUOTE ]
Players must play their hands independently and cannot tell opponents how to act or reveal their hand to other players. Violations will disqualify the hand for the Jackpot.

a great point -- exactly the reason why i make sure im NOT on a two+two table when i play for the bbj.

the headache that will ensue if its hit on a 2+2 table would be incredible.

It is worth $15k just to be sitting at the table that hits.

There isn't any collusion on specific hands, just on the general way to play. I don't think that it would be a problem.

You don't think they would have a problem with tables being occupied by players that are paying no rake but are eligible for the jackpot?

Pretty true, I mean most of us play limit the way 2+2 dictates anyway

I doubt Party would care whether the collusion occurred before or after the cards were dealt. However, they might differentiate between overt and implicit collusion. In my mind at least, there is a big difference if someone says, "Join me at this table," and then ten intelligent players individually figure out individual strategies that happen to be a good group strategy. This kind of collusion is legal in tournaments, so why not in ring games?

Obviously it's not your decision to make though.

If they catch wind of the 2+2 check-it-down tables from these forums OR if they just look at the HH's before the hand was hit then I think there is a reasonable chance they won't pay up.
I think they will PROBABLY pay....but I would say that there is perhaps as high as a 30% chance that you guys get screwed.

Don't forget about the chance of someone else turning you guys in just because they're bitter people or pissed-off or whatever.
Party will find out about it somehow I suspect.

FWIW - I played on the 2+2 BBJ table the last time around a couple months ago and had fun doing it. It was silly and I couldn't help myself from laughing the whole time....but I don't think our chances of winning were that significantly increased and I don't know if the play was THAT much faster....probably just a little bit faster.

Also, I lost some money from players actually playing the hands whereas I was dutifully limping and checking it down with AA, etc. On the other tables I'm happily profiting away WHILE chasing after the JP.

Finally, for multi-tabling I found it really tough to adjust my standards for the BBJ table. When I see KK or AK or whatever I instinctively hit the auto-raise box and the one 2+2 table that I had going was a tough adjustment to make while trying to play aggressively on all the other tables.

Those are my thoughts anyway.
