Re: Has online poker ever caused you to break an expensive object?
Luckily for me, no! The 2001fp's can take quite a beating!

Re: Has online poker ever caused you to break an expensive object?
2 weeks ago, i threw my nice mx1000 into the wall as hard as i could, then did the same thing with my monitor, than shoved my tower on to the floor, and then went out to chinese food. I was planning what i was going to do for rent after that, as poker is my only income, and i though my comp was surely worthless. it was just cracked, and the cases was bent. everything still worked ok though. that is rare i get like that.

Re: Has online poker ever caused you to break an expensive object?
[ QUOTE ]
Wireless mice dont seem to be a good idea to have in my repertoire. I dont break them because of bad beats alone as much as when I do something stupid repeatedly. (like make the right read but call anyways resulting in bad beats) [/ QUOTE ] This doesn't make much sense. If the result is a bad beat, then it means you are ahead when you made the call. If you're upset about a bad beat, that's one thing, but I wouldn't be upset over a good call that turned out poorly b/c of a suckout. |

I did strain a neck muscle once from screaming at a (rather typical) runner runner perfect beat. Couldn't turn my head for a couple of days. Didn't learn a lesson either (sigh). [/ QUOTE ] I never knew this was possible... |

Luckily for me, no! The 2001fp's can take quite a beating [/ QUOTE ] when I bought my 2001 FP's -that prety much halted any monitor/fp abuse. FP's do not take abuse well at all. I now limit my tirades to breaking the occasional pen or calculater. |

Re: Has online poker ever caused you to break an expensive object?
Never broken anything expensive but have had to purchase several sets of glasses as they are commonly found thrown across the room. I have also put 10-15 holes in the wall

Re: Has online poker ever caused you to break an expensive object?
Closest I've come has been slamming my cheap wireless mouse on the desk a couple times, one time so hard that the batteries popped out. Somehow I've managed not to pick it up and chuck it at anything/one yet.

Re: Has online poker ever caused you to break an expensive object?
One night after a bad beat, i went into my closet and grabbed the 3/4" lead pipe which holds all my hangers, went outside and proceeded to beat the living [censored] out of the first four or five trees i found. Needless to say, the pipe was useless but i think i killed one of the trees, too.
this is an awesome thread. |
