Default PokerProphecy

I hear a lot of people here talk about PokerProphecy.
When I tried it out it told me my win rate was like 45%. My win rate is currently 27%. I laughed and immediately discounted the program. My question is with results that are this badly mistaken why do so many people seem to use and like the program?

Well, when the players get more than 100 games or so in, if they have a decent %, they're usually ok, but not nearly as good as it says. It is 3-15% off in my experience, but at least you know if you see a person with 900 games played at a specific level, there is a better-than-average chance that player knows what he is doing. I use it strictly as a VERY lightly regarded piece of information, personally, and my grain of salt is used often,(mmmm...salty..)
