It's +EV if you do it in a spot where you know it will work.

It's -EV if you start checking rivers with the goal of making a low content post when you get lucky and he bets.

I don't think the sexy is -EV when used properly. I've only whiffed a few times, and some of those wouldn't have called a bet anyway.

Not sure that´s a good example, but there are definetly spots where it´s the highest EV option and also alot where it isn´t.
