maybe u mistyped the hands.

maybe you misread the stack sizes, my 4000 chips raise covered the SB and therefore pushes him all in. so yes i pushed.

my question is did i ethically do something wrong? i of course thought it was a no brainer push, but i am a cash game player that has been mixing in MTT's and sng's lately (used to play them but haven't in a long time) so i am a little rusty and was wondering if i was missing something.

Ethics on a poker table, that's a novel concept. I want SBs chips and money, he/she can bitch all they like. If they don't like it then tough sh*t.

SB is stupid. You just got a free 1,100 of SB's chips in the middle. If SB call/folds a bunch of hands, I push almost any 2 back into him for the dead money in the pot.

I make the push every day and twice on sunday. I would also probably call with pocket 6s if I was the small blind. No, sorry, I would have pushed my sixes into the big blind to make him call more then the 1100 and not be able to push over the top of me.

there is nothing ethically wrong with this OR with bluffing into dry side pots

u aren't a team trying to get the guy out of the tourney...u are playing for yourself and to make the most money u can...if it's >$ev to value bet or bluff the other guy out of the pot, then do it and feel good about it

just like purposefully keeping the shorty alive on the bubble when u are big guy will piss off the midstacks but isn't unethical or anything to not be proud of

SB is dumb. It is not your job to ensure he gets more money.

Agreed. If you can get SB to get his money in PF here, you may just take 1st without a HU match. If SB wants to make sure he gets 2nd, he has to keep his dead money in and fold. Ethics have very little to do with an online poker game.
