The correct answer is "Money Jungle" with Duke Ellington, Charlie Mingus and Max Roach. With this album you have the greatest bassist, greatest drummer and the greatest performer/composer of the 20th century. While listening to this album you will often forget that it is just a trio performing. The popular music of today can't be mentioned in the same breath.

"Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis is pretty incredible as well featuring Cannonball Adderly and John Coltrane on saxophone, Bill Evans on piano on all songs except "Freddie Freeloader". Wynton Kelly played piano on that one. Paul Chambers on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums round out an exceptional combo

Now that's a funny exchange.

With a question like this, you have to make the distinction that 'best' album is not the same as your 'favorite' album. Otherwise, you just get a list of 1000 right answers. Given this disclaimer, I wouldn't completely discount a few choices people might make, but the correct answer is clearly:

Dark Side of the Moon

I wasnt asking a question. I was telling everyone what the answer was. And to be quite honest, I think Pink floyd sucks in general. The Wall was alright I guess.
