Default The evolutionary advantage of believing in God

It does seem to me to have a touch of irony that the predisposition of the human species to believe in God, Gods or the like which has apparantly resulted in an evolutionary advantage, has as one result a belief, for a good number of God believers, that evolution has had no part in the "creation" of modern man.

Apologies if this is not a novel post!
