Yea i fold (well i say taht, in the situation i'd probably go against my own advice and be angry later)... cold calling a raise and reraise has gotta be AA, maaaybe KK. AK would have tried to isolate, so unless he's an idiot he's got a monster. And if he's bad enough not to have AA or KK there, that means you'll have more time to take his chips later, when you have more info.

Oh wow you laid down QQ there huh, was wondering what you had. I didn't take UTGs limp as much although I had rarely seen him limp into a pot and was almost always opening, although I probably should have been paying more attention. Your raise seemed a decent amount higher than the average for the table at the time and I thought you were definitely trying to isolate(with a good, but not great hand - was wrong about that) to get HU with him as he was being overly aggressive with a lot of marginal hands postflop, so I decided to push it over the top, hoping to scoop up an already nice size pot. I definitely did not want to call off 1/4 or so of my stack and a reraise less than all in is pretty trivial. As soon as UTG cold called my push I started kicking myself for not trusting my read, knowing 100% that he had KK or AA like you did, although it would have been almost impossible for me to lay down my AK in that spot. How did you end up finishing in that tourny by the way?

I'm assuming barring a spectacular read my AK is a push in this situation right?

UTG limped, you put in a standard raise and someone else made a reraise allin at a 7-handed table. You folded QQ.

Did you have a read on the pusher that he was a rock and would only reraise with a big hand? I would assume most players would atleast reraise with JJ-AA and AK, maybe AQ. I wouldn't need a huge hand to push in this situation. Villain has some FE, even if he doesn't expect you to fold QQ. Plus he may expect you to raise with a wide range a hands and think any typical early position raising hand is good enough for a push.

I was playing 6-handed with 12 left in a tournament. Someone raised from 2nd position. I reraised allin with AJo and he folded despite getting 3-1 pot odds. I made the push based on hand value and pot odds, figuring I had no FE. I guess he really wanted to make the final table.

I had been raising limpers quite a lot, so it was definately correct to push over me with AK...

As for the villain with aa, I just couldn't see him limp/calling an allin with jj/qq - he should have openraised with those. Was still a really hard fold though, I was intent on doubling up when I saw my hand you know.

I went out not long afterwards, when I flopped middle pair against the same guy in a blindsteal situation.

GG.

The pusher had a decently wide range - definately wide enough for a call imo. The limp/call allin though, that's the guy who made me fold of course. As I answered earlier, I just don't see the hand good enough to tangle with a raise and a reraise allin that he would limp first in with.

Now the question is if I got lucky, or if people here generally have a wider range?

The hand converter is your friend.

I think you have to call here, even 3 handed QQ is a good hand here. It's a little strange that he limp/called, but that play would be very strange with AA unless he's a really good player.
