Juan Manuel Alvarez is the idiot who parked his SUV on the rairoad tracks in LA intending to commit suicide, chickened out at the last minue and bailed out, leaving his SUV on the tracks. The resulting derailment, and collision with another train killed 11 people. Alvarez is a special kind of suicide chump. He didn't just try to shoot himself and miss, take an insufficient dose of sleeping pills, or jump off an insufficiently high bridge. He managed to kill 11 strangers in his failed suicide attempt. Before the legal system is done with him, he will probably wish that he had stayed in his vehicle.
