Default 50/100 HU hand #1

I've been playing villian a lot latley HU. He's not horrible, but he moments of impatience and lapses in judgement where he makes very poor plays. So far he has been playing well. He opens from the SB for 300, i call with A2s.

Flop is 27Kr, and it goes check check. The turn is an offsuit Ace. I lead for 350, he makes 800, what is your play and why?

BTW, if you have been playing with him a lot lately, then you must be better qualified to answer this than us.

If anyone offered opinions significantly different than mine, i would probably stick to my guns b/c of my read on him. That said, i just want a general consesnus on what people usually do here to see if a lot of ppl are playing it differently than me.

I am usually the Villain in situations like this. I can't really remember ever facing it from your POV. Generally I call and pot the river.

call. These HU questions are retarded though cause it's probably dependent on the last 100 hands you've played

I already established that i will give a lot of credit to my own reads. That doesnt mean that productive discussion about this hand cannot occur. For example, if you really wanted to think about it, you could come up with the worse hand you think a villian might call a 3 bet with here. Based on that, you could say, "Gabe, 3 betting has no merit, just call and pot the river NOOB". Or maybe you dont feel that way. But i think there is room for discussion in this hand.

it's kind of a weird play ... but i like a call and then lead for about 3/4 the pot on the river.
