Default A couple...

button is a pretty tough very aggressive player. when he raises the flop he doesnt necessarily have to have anything. he could have ace high or a draw. i would usually just call this flop but i decided to 3bet probably for a foolish reason. anyway...

button raises, i 3bet 98s from the SB he calls

Flop is KT2 giving me a flush draw

i bet, he raises, i 3bet, he calls

turn is another T

i bet, he raises i call

river is an ace giving me a flush.

i bet, he raises, i 3bet, he caps and i think about folding but call anyway :/

i went for a bet/3bet river line because i thought he might check down a king and i thought a naked ten would shut down after i checkraise, but would raise the river and call a 3bet.

Looks good to me including flop 3-bet. You shouldn't always but it's fine for mixup purposes. I also like your river play. The Ace is a great card to bet/3-bet on because you represent AK very well and should provoke a T into raising. Wouldn't consider a river fold especially if you play against him a lot. You don't want your regular opponents to see you making folds like that.

Why would AK bet/call the turn and then bet the river? What did the ace change? Unless you're saying something I'm not understanding.

youre right... the ace changes nothing. if youre holding AK it actually weakens your hand because the flush and straight completed, but most people dont think about stuff like that... they just go OOH TOP TWOO PARE1 and bet/call. i dont know how much respect i get from the opponent so i dont know if he would think id donk AK but at the same time i really cant see him not raising a ten.

What Tstone said.. AK shouldn't be played this way but it usually would be even by many tags.
