Re-Opening account on Empire

I'm going to close my account on Empire and reopen a new one in hopes of getting rakeback on Empire.

How long should I wait to open a new account after closing the previous one?

I simply emailed them and told them I'd like to close the account. I haven't received an email response from Empire yet. Should I be handling this any differently?
