Default Variance

Don't know if this has been addressed or not, if so, my apologies.

What game is going to have higher variance, 5-10 nine handed
NL, or 2-4 six handed NL?

Which game do you think is easier to beat?

Does the larger game really require a bigger bankroll?

Thanks for your answers.

Bruce

2-4 shorthanded is easier in my opinion. Varinace will be higher at 2-4 shorthanded but bigger bankroll is needed at bigger game (in relative terms) because of lower win-rate (assumed).

Instinctively, I would say short handed has larger variance. And I think it is pretty apparent that in terms of $ amount 5/10 full takes alot more money than 2/4 short. In terms of BB's, I would think that 2/4 short would take a bit more... but not very much.
