There is no disadvantage to playing a short stack. Buy in for 10-15. Play super tight. Do NOT play any suited connectors. Limp a small pocket pair if you can, but not from early position where there is too great of a chance to get raised behind you. In EP, try to limp/re-raise all-in premium hands since people will call such a 'suspicious' move with dominated hands, especially since it is 'only a few more dollars' and you are a 'short stacked idiot'.
