Auto accident.
He tried to pass a dumptruck, but lost control on a gravel shoulder, went down an embankment and hit a tree.

Funeral is tomorrow, but I'm missing it for a final exam. Puts a damper on my studying concentration.

However, I am glad Felicia Lee is recovering. Also, best wishest to my friend's father who is also having cancer.

I think the replies and interactions you get, away from the computer, will greatly outstrip the cumulative condolensces of OOT. And I don't say that snidely.

If you are unable to attend the funeral, because of an exam, study. Or sleep. Take your books to bed and fall asleep studying--posting in quasi-anonymous poker forums will help you with none of your current situations.
