I fail to see the advantage of the short handed games.

The rake is too high at 6-max. This is especially true when the games are four or five handed, which happens all the time. You can easily get 80 hands an hour in these games, and that means too much money is coming off of the table in rake-off. It should be .50¢ to $1.00 max in .50¢ cent increments--or even .25¢ increments.

Hell, they can probably double the rake, and I'd still take 80 hands/table/hr of idiots calling down their bottom pair with J6o.

True Party should be half raking the games. The do cap the 5/10 or higher short at 2 bucks. But that would make the rake the same as full........

It's where the money is for the house. I fail to see the advantage of the short handed games. I only play full games, and when they get to eight-handed I get out and look for another full game. The reason I do this is because they don't give you a break on the rake at seven and eight handed.

Wrong. Rake is capped at $2 (for NL 6-max at least) and more hands / hr with LAGgier opponents = more money for good players.

"Explain whatever you want to yourself but shorthanded tables are where the real money is."

All I play are shorthanded games.

You are a smart man. I was lucky enough to start my "career" on 5/10 shorthanded tables and it boosted me about 3 levels above the full ring players. I like it.

Having no 2/4 or 3/6 6 max games make the 5/10 6 max softer I think.
