Default Intro and 2 Hands ($.5/1)

EDIT: ahhh I don't know what's up w/ the colors guys sorry!

Hi,
I've been playing for about 2 years now and for most of those I've just been a shameless SNG pushbotter and I do pretty well at the $55s. However I'm going to be 21 soon so I figured I should learn a casino-friendly game like limit. I only have about 20k .5/1 and 1/2 hands where I ran around 4bb/100. So I'll be posting alot more now as I try to run through the first few limits pretty quickly. I hope we have some good discussions. Ok now a few hands.

Hand 1:

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. MP3 posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, 2 folds</font>, MP3 (poster) checks, 1 fold</font>, Button calls, 1 fold</font>, Hero checks.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)</font>
Hero bets</font>, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP3 calls, Button calls. checkraise this flop?

Turn: (4.75 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)</font>
Hero bets</font>, UTG+1 folds, MP3 folds, Button calls.

River: (6.75 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
Hero bets</font>, Button calls.

Final Pot: 8.75 BB

Hand 2:

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold</font>, Hero raises</font>, 3 folds</font>, Button calls, 1 fold</font>, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)</font>
BB bets</font>, UTG folds, Hero raises</font>, Button calls, BB calls.

Turn: (7.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)</font>
BB checks, Hero checks, Button checks. weird I know, but I was pretty sure after button CCed my flop raise I could get a free card out of him

BB bets</font>, Hero raises</font>, Button folds, BB folds.

I wouldn't go for a check raise on the flop in the first hand. You don't want it checked through and you don't want to check raise the button and knock the others out of the hand. Plus, by betting out, you might get a raise from someone holding an Ace.

I wouldn't raise preflop on the second hand. I wouldn't want to get heads up against a better hand, and I would want to encourage string of limpers.

The only play mildly questionable is the preflop raise in Hand 2.
