Stars usually has 4-5 $50 games at some times, and they are almost always good. Pokerroom also has some great .50-.50 action and Tilt's $50 games look pretty good as well

I am going to post this for about the fifteenth time in the past week.

PLO IS ABOUT HAVING POSITIVE EQUITY

The key to shortstack play is playing reasonably tight preflop and fairly loose post flop. Yeah it is high variance but if you're really that afraid of getting your stack in you need to move on to some other game. Maybe you should play cribbage.

I have no trouble with variance and neither should anyone playing this game with the appropriate bankroll.

If you are going to try a higher variance shortstack approach, it would seem that your bankroll requirements would be higher. This flies in the face of your advice to someone wishing to take a shot with a limited bankroll. That is, they are much more likely to go broke at that level with that approach.

So, all I was suggesting was that playing with a full buy-in might help to give a bigger chance of the "shot" working out. Obviously, the downside to this approach is that each shot is more expensive.

My advice wasn't to someone with a limited bankroll, it was to someone who is bankrolled for the $100 games but who is unsure he can win in those games.

Thanks for coming out.

The problem with a full buyin is that you often have to play a turn.

The problem with a short buyin is that if you have only ever played that way, what do you do when you have a big stack...leave?
