First things first, I love a solid hand like AA+low card. Perhaps too much. Should I have been more careful? My assumption is that up against any random hand, even one with a ten, I have a good chance, especially considering that I had potted the flop 5 previous times to take it down with marginal hands and people would be calling me out of rage.

I can't help but feel as though I was asking for this, but is it wrong of me to treat JT/JJ as a monster under the bed? I figured even up against another trip tens I would be a favorite with the Ace kicker. I just had trouble being convinced that heads up I would not have the best hand on the flop in a majority of hands.

So, what'd I do wrong/right?

I think its an easy fold on the river to most players once you are raised there. I also think betting on the river is EV- vs. many. If he has JJ you want to check. If he has a worse T then he's likely to fold to a bet. If he hit his T you want to check.

I agree, do you really think he is bluffing the river? You can only beat a bluff.

If you check the river and he bets, you still have to call.

If this hand gets played the way I consider to be correct, OP loses all his chips (turn bet should be max).

Not necessarily. That table had seen me pound pots heads up to win showdown with top pair/top two. It's definitely possible that someone in that situation would raise the river with trips to scare me off (or at least try to push someone playing like a sissy off with a bluff). The size of the pot also would make it worth a call, wouldn't it?

First off, yes I do think you over valued your hand preflop. Aces are nice, but you had no suit and a bad low or top straight draw. After ther flop, you far over valued your hand. Your 3rd best and bet into 2 opponents, if called or raised, you're a big dog if not drawing dead to a Ten going into the turn and river. A better choice might have been to check-raise if one of them made a move at the pot. At least you'll almost always know where you stand by their reaction to your raise. But once called by both on the flop, you have to hit the brakes. You might be good at the time, but a big dog going against 2 plyrs with 2 more to come. Only 5 outs to fill up and very long shot for quads. Almost always a boat or flush will be made by the river. Hell, even a wrap straight has more outs to come home. You're in bad shape with Trips A/kicker to hold up.
