Default Windows x64

Who's using it? How is it? Are there still driver issues? Are you running dual boot? How do PT, Playerview, etc. function. Notable performance increases?

I'd really like to hear as much as I could about this OS from poker players.

I just built a new machine running in x64. I don't have all my poker stuff set up yet, but I'll tell you my findings in a day or two. Here are the problems I've noticed so far:

AVG Free, the anti virus program I use, doesn't support x64. So I switched to Avast.

Daemon Tools, a program that provides virtual drives and lets you mount disk images (like .isos), does not support x64. I have not found a suitable alternative yet.

Other than that, sound/video/games work fine. From what I've read, there is a very slight performance increase in using this OS - but it's pretty tough to distinguish between it and Windows XP in day to day usage.

I appreciate the respons. I also use Daemon tools (daily). I suppose I'll probably wait at least a few more months before making the switch.

All the poker tools are working fine. My new system runs PokerTracker much better. (Athlon 64 3200, 2 gigs ram. - my old was Athlon XP 1700, 512 mb ram). It really sucks to not have daemon tools. Supposedly there is a private beta of an x64 version running, but I can't get my hands on it. Other than that all is dandy.
