Default Tournament Structure

Hello, i host a small NLHE tourney with some friends about once a month. I was just thinking about mixing things up a bit for a change of pace and i was wondering what, if any, changes would you make to the blinds structure for a Limit HE tournament to keep it running about the same length of time? What about 7-stud, or Draw? TIA

Hard to say without knowing the players. For hold 'em, cutting the blinds in half (big bet in limit = big blind in NL) works fairly well in my experience.

Stud is a little more work to set up as the host since you'll need to have lots of small chips around for the ante, and maybe the bring-in, too. You won't go too far wrong if you have the big bet similar to limit hold 'em, though.

Our first draw tourney was a lot of fun. We used blinds, and just doubled them compared to no-limit hold 'em since there's only two betting rounds and sometimes the deal takes a bit longer.
