Default Newhizzle

Ok about three months ago i remember playing you at a 3/6 table, and now you are playing the 50/100 game.

Just wanted to say [censored] yeah well done, and maybe you could give us a run down of how the last few months have been, how many hands etc youve played at each level etc?

Anyway if you dont want thats cool, but well done.

i basically went on a rediculous rush for about 2 months after the party split, when i was playing 3/6 3 months ago, i was actually recovering from a downswing i had after moving up past 10/20 before my roll could handle it

i actually only stayed at 5/10, 10/20, 15/30, and 20/40 few a few days each this time, so not really that many hands at those limits(i have a lot of 5/10 and 10/20 from before), i have been moving up at 300 BB and seem to be beating the 30 and 50 games so far, i got about probly 20,000 or so hands at each, i have about 4,000 hands at 100/200, but have been running bad in that game, so im just sticking with 30 and 50 now, finding the best games between them

to tell you the truth, i actually think a lot of the small and mid stakes posters are better players than me, but i feel that if i seclect my tables properly i can have an edge at any limit on party at least, as long as my opponents make more mistakes than i do, i should be able to beat the game, and after the rush i have the roll to back myself

anyway, thanks

seriously, 20,000 hands is nothing.

if you have a win rate of 2.00bb/100 at 50/100 right now and a 16bb/100hand standard deviation, your win rate could be between 4.217446 and -0.21745 bb/100 with a 95% confidence interval. if your win rate of 20,000 hands has been 1bb/100 hands and the same standard deviation, your win rate could be between 3.217446 and -1.21745 bb/100 with the same confidence interval.

so although you are doing well now, you may not be a winning player at those limits.

just putting it out there b/c daryn is right.

Wow, that's a crazy story. Keep running good. Just remember, bad things can happen to good players, and good things can happen to bad players. So be careful.

thanks, but im already pretty much fully aware of the fact that i could just be running very well, i am prepared to move down if necessary.

i am very confident that i can beat a game like 10/20, and pretty confident that if i choose my tables correctly i can beat the bigger games as well.

the way i see it, as ive said, if i am adaquately bankrolled and my opponents make more mistakes than i do, i have an edge, and if i select my tables properly, my opponents will make more mistakes than i will.

if i end up dropping out of school, i will be working a lot harder on improving my game, so if i have just been lucky i can at least eventually beat these games.

so far i have not had enough time at these limits to play enough hands to find my true win-rate, but i am beating them so far and i really think that if i choose my tables right, i can beat them in the long-run, but i do appreciate your advise, ill keep you guys updated and let you know if i end up going busto.

Do NOT drop out of school. That would be the worst beat you could give yourself.

no man, i think you are confusing me with someone else. people have often thought that i went bust, because one of my friends was playing HU 300/600 on my account one time and went broke. rest assured it wasn't my cash.

i went bust once, a few years ago. that was only from about $5,000 down to $0 though.
