Why not? Are you worried you're gonna be too generous giving the bartender $1/drink?

I can never figure out why so many posters on this board constantly try to find ways to weasel out of tipping people, or tipping less than they should.

The bartender can make better use of the $7 than you can.

People here should also remember that often when the bar/restaurant includes a gratuity in a check, the bartender/waiter doesn't see any of that.

Sure we do. I had a party of 8 the other night (parties of 8 or above automatically have 15% gratuity added to their check), and it was a guaranteed $13.96 for me.

Then you work at a good restaurant. I know of a lot of places that don't.

Lots of interesting replies. Here is what I know. Comapny opens a tab for the everning and from all sources tips well. I was talking to my group about tipping and said I hope everyone tips tonight and they all looked at me like I was insane. I intend to tip a buck for drinks for a few reasons, but mostly for faster service. However it seems like OOT is divided on this issue so I won't fire anyone on my team for not tipping.

Sure, especially if the barmaids are hot and it'll get you better service.
