Default faux clay chips

i just bought a new case of 500 of the NexGen River Poker Tour 8100s for $100 after selling my 500 case of used 11.5g Dice Chips for $50 (the slippery, metallic ones everybody uses for home games). i am very pleased with the NexGens, but for some reason i am buying another set (my home games usually have two tables going and we like to play deep stacked, so 500 doesn't cover both tables). on their reputation in this forum, i have decided to go with a case of 500 of the Faux Clay chips seen here
(although i am getting 100 blacks instead of the 100 greens)

any thoughts on these chips? they seem very reasonably priced especially considering the outstanding reviews they have gotten... also does anybody know where to get them cheaper than $41.99 + $13.51 s+H?

You want to play with 2 different types of chips?

well i want to mix it up during our 9-10 player home games and not always use the same type of chips... also, the extra chips would be useful for when there are 2 tables going at once

I have 500 faux clay and am about to order 500 more.

Basically, they're great.

Only negatives

If you plan on labelling your chips, you're probably better off with the NexGens.

There's a 'dimple' along the rim where the composite is injected. If this will bother you, get another chip.

Aside from this, at 6c a chip, they're a steal.

I have a set of 500 faux clays and love them.

I agree that they come up a little short in the looks department, but aside from that they are great. They shuffle quite well and they feel/sound a lot like real clay chips.

Given the price, they are really the perfect home game chip -- especially as a second home set.

I'm curious. What was it about the nexgens that made you decide to go with a different chip?

I'd like to hear this answer as well. I'm looking at some nexgens (Lucky Bee) chips and would like to hear from anyone who has used them (or any nexgen).

Any complaints about the Nexgens? I just ordered 1000 of the River Poker tour's after reading some favorable reviews on multiple sites. review link
