Eh I have a boat, 3bet

I have tight image. So far in four rotations I've played 2 hands. Primary opponent in this hand has played with me a few times in the past but not much so we don't have huge history.

A few hands ago, I 3 bet his open (BB cold called too), bet the flop, BB called and he c/r me and I called to the river and folded on river.

So to this hand, I raise UTG with JJ. He calls in his BB.

Flop AQJ two diamonds, I have no diamonds. He checks, I bet, he raises I call.

Turn King. He bets, I raise, he calls.

River Q. He checks, I bet, he raises, I 3bet.

Given that its hard for him to fold a straight of flush here, do people really think the 3 bet is that bad?

It's terrible. Plus, the OP didn't say that the flush hit on the river. There's almost no way he wins this hand. It's way way closer to a fold than a 3-bet.

It strikes me as very unlikely that villian doesn't 3bet the turn with a straight.

Bingo. I play some hands badly. I like my flop/turn combo given the past encounter. The river blows.

No flush hit. I think folding is wrong in case he was getting frisky with a ten.

I never said to fold. I was merely making the point that I think 3-betting is possibly even worse than folding.
