Re: Newbie trying to make plays....
[ QUOTE ]
Two great lessons for the $6s here. You can not bluff people off, even when they have weak hands. You can bet large when you really hit your hand and get paid. [/ QUOTE ] well stated simple as it gets. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Kasey [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

Re: Newbie trying to make plays....
Every time you want to "make a play" in a 5+1, just take out your lighter and a $1 bill and burn it. Then make the "normal" play.
You will come out ahead using my method. BL' |

Re: Newbie trying to make plays....
On the second hand, you could consider raising on the flop. You have the nut flush draw and two potentially very live overcards (making you a favorite against a lower pair, if you get to see the turn and river). Raise the flop bet to 150, chase off any riff raff (or get more out of other drawing hands, which are behind you right now), and get a free turn card. If he pushes back on the flop, or calls and bets the turn, you can check your odds and see where you want to go from there.
