The cards at Foxwoods
What's with the horrible condition of the cards there now? It seems like every deck is warped to the point where the cards don't even lie flat on the table. To make matters worse, now when I shoot them to the dealer upon folding, the turned up edge sometimes hits enough resistance from the air that the cards flip over. Its a real problem that a room of that size can't get decent cards (not to mention the other problems with that room but I digress....)

Re: The cards at Foxwoods
Was playing the 1/2 NL last night at FW -- One dealer said they are rotating now, using the "bad" cards (paper?) one day and their new batch the next. I'm not sure how much truth there is in what he says, as I can't remember the last time I sat and didn't see those shitty cards. The best part is, the cards come out of the packaging pre-warped saving the players the trouble.

Agreed
Last time, soemone asked for a new setup, and they brought out an even worse one |

Re: The cards at Foxwoods
They've had new cards in for more than a month now and are just to cheap to use them all the time.
They seemed to have stopped using them in the 20 game the last time I was up there, so help is probably on the way. scrub |

Re: The cards at Foxwoods
I agree with everyone the new cards suck. You really need to make sure to protect your cards and some of the dealers at the woods don't help much either. Lots of flashed cards coming from the dealers I notice. There are some good dealers that don't do that though.

Re: The cards at Foxwoods
The previous cards, from my best guess, were Gemaco's, and I think they're pretty much the same cards that they have at the Taj in AC. They're all right... kind of flimsy feeling and they tend to get worn looking around the edges, but they generally play fair and don't get messed up.
Those new cards really suck. They strike me to be imitation Bee's... Bee makes really nice, plastic casino cards which they use at the Borgata. Excellent, excellent cards... maybe better than KEMs. The Foxwoods cards seem to be cheap rip-offs of those. |

Re: The cards at Foxwoods
Hmmmm......when I played there about a month ago, in a Thursday morning tourney, the cards were KEM from what I was told, and I didn't have any problems.
